Great work, I've been a bit worried that it wouldn't be ready for the 16th!
Did you or Thomas get a chance to price some hand helds?

Hi Geoff
Now you'll have to upgrade to Clansman VHF in your Ferrett.
It is possible to run the UK/PRC-351/2 manpack or even the UK/PRC-350 into the intercom harness using a IBHA for the audio and Initiate and TUAAM to the Mk31 antenna base.
Bill R is currently installing sets and boxes into the Saladin and I'm going to loan sets to Tim for his Saracen. I believe that Bill will also do Yowie as well.

I've been wondering about the 350. I have one here, it seems to only run on 20V not 24-28V as it uses 14 X C cells at 1.5V each, so it can't be wired into the vehicle power. You can connect the 350 to the harness the same as the 351, but run on the battery pack for the radio. LR Series in the UK also have a 350 wing mount box
http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/17598/6209618-CLANSMAN-PRC350-WING-MOUNTING-BOX.html?search=prc350&page=1
you could use to secure the radio in the hull.
With the 351 you can modify the battery extension cable to connect the radio direct to the vehicle power supply. (

)
For most of our needs we don't need the 20W amplifier the 4W is sufficient if you want a 20W amp I have a couple spare. What you do need is an Interconnecting Box Harness Adapter (IBHA) to connect/match the audio to the intercom audio.
in the mean time what you could consider is getting a TUAAM and Initiate box wired up to one of the antenna bases with the spacer. (
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Antenna-Element-Base-MK3-Mod-Strike-1-5985-99-100-4298-NEW-/111241555955
) that way one of us with Clansman sets could loan you one if necessary. Even better would be if you wired in the IBHA.
In relation to the backpack adapters. Are the two brackets in the box behind the brown 110 at the CSA are they yours or mine. I thought I was going to show them to you but don't know if you got any off Tim V.

The bracket looks like this:
(without the rubber mounts, channels and panel)
And the second has extra bracketry to angle it upd at 45 degrees
The radio bracket clamps onto it:
