The 1st was the rover bought to teach my son to drive cant speed and tough enough if he made any mistakes ;D  After he got his lic we decided to put it back to original still working on it :D

The XT was a specific ex mil buy we went to Manheim's when the bikes were being auctioned the idea is to keep it in in-service condition has been very reliable I ride it 2 to 3 times a week ( warm dry weather ;D)

the ferret well being an ex tankie I like armour ;D I have been looking around NSW for a reasonably priced jump in and drive away ferret but nothing in the condition or price range I wanted. looking at Gum tree one day and there was a ferret supposedly in good condition driven regularly at an ok price. called the owner he was not in any clubs or on any military forums the car had been kept on a family farm and driven around had been taken to Anzac parades a couple of times on a permit but really used that much made an offer and booked ticket to perth. It started 2nd go and drove well no obvious problems no leaks was using a boat fuel tank on the engine deck but that was not big problem anyway it arrived in Sydney 5 weeks later and is now registered and off to corowa on sat.

Hi Geoff

Nice little collection.  Do you have any history on the ferret?  Going by the colour it looks to be in Aussie camoflage green?

I have a video of it in 1966 at the presentation of 10th Light horse Regt receiving their new guidon it was in DBG back then it some sold off from WA so it probably spent most of its time there I haven't had much time to research much else yet the fellow I bought it off only knew about the 10th LHR link.
