Yeh oohhh  :( finished bevel box replacement took her for a test drive great drove back to yard and transmission went bang and locked up >:(

So the next part starts I obtained a replacement transmission from Tim quick trip to Winton and back and a couple of weeks to remove old and replace with not new but good replacement finished about 1 week before Corowa.

Have drained the oil and spun it no bearing noise so hopefully no problems it did have oil in it unlike the other side ;)

Are you going to look inside or replace the LHS bevel now that you have the engine out?

She been worked on for a few hours each day so didn't check for new neighbours found one as I was bolting suspension back together :o

put some gloves on straight away and sent him to his maker those are not small bolts he is sitting on. :(

While its all apart I have cleaned all the grease nipples and oiled the suspension pins will have to do the other 3 corners now  ;D most of the nipples had been painted over the pressure release on the old bevel had been replaced with a new style grease nipple some one probably didn't know what it was checked the other bevel boxes they still had release valves but all covered in several layers of paint :( the PO had said they changed to grease because of all the oil leaks :-\

Bearing nut has very little thread left so looking for another and about half the studs for the mud guard were broken the had been welded in place hope the army didn't do that :(

Well after a lot of swearing and cursing bevel box is changed over now to fix all the small things we found along the way.

this is the old bevel the previous owner had been using grease not oil in the bevels and hubs, less than a cup of grease

Yes found all of the above minus spanners :D
the count was something like 1 x 3 inch screw driver 1 socket over a dozen nuts and bolts and 12 blank rounds both fired and unfired ;D not cleaned even before disposal from army would be my guess :(
